Today we are talking about Lubricant. What type of lubricant is the best to use and why? What factors do you look for in a lube? Why should I use lube or should I not use lube? Is lube for me? What brands are the most popular? Well today I will answer those very questions.
There are a few types of lube: silicone, water-based, flavored, and warming. I am going to focus on silicone and water-based lubricant, but I will explain edible and warming.
Edible lubricant is something that women cringe at when they hear it because there is no such thing as edible lubricant, but surprisingly flavored or edible lube is not that bad. There are a few different flavors, mainly fruit flavors and I was told it doesn’t taste that bad. Warming Lubricant is just that it warms up. A lot of times the lube will just gradually warm up with time of using it. This process will be a great deal faster than warming up lube in play.
The big question of many people that I talk to are “should I use silicone or water-based lubricant?” This question is very simple, but at the same time very complicated. There are many reasons to go for one as opposed for the other.
Water-based lubricant is the most popular lube, mainly because it is the cheapest. Water-based lubricant is faster to clean up, only takes a little bit of water and a cloth and all of the residue is gone. The positives are the clean-up of course, condom safe, a refreshing feeling, and most people really enjoy the feeling of water-based lubricant.
Silicone Lubricant, a new found love for me and most of my friends use silicone now too. Silicone lubricant has a little bit of an oily feeling. Because silicone is used to lube many things: garage door tracks, door hinges, bicycle chains, and much more because it creates a smooth surface almost everywhere. This will do the same for you, you will use less lubricant and the feeling is so much smoother than water-based lube.
When I started asking people why they preferred silicone lube, which most of the adult industry is using, I asked why they like silicone lube more than water-based lube? The answer I got was kind of surprising because it didn’t have to do with sex as much as I thought it would. The answer was the feeling of silicone is much smoother afterward, or I like the feeling on my skin, my skin is softer, my hands are softer, my member is softer, the sensation is kept very sensitive after I use this type of lubricant. There are many reasons why people use it, but you need to find out for yourself what works for you.
I suggest you go to a local novelty shop and buy a couple samples of each type: silicone and water-based. There are a couple brands that are the most popular: ID, Wet, and Gun Oil. Try one from each brand using their silicone version and their water-based version.
My personal favorite brand is “Gun Oil” and their silicone version is awesome. On a side note your hands and uh-hum will be softer than they ever have been once use start using Silicone Lubricant.

Okay so I have been talking to women about lube for the past week in a half about and I am just about sick of the conversation, but the results of all these conversations are that silicone lube is messy, sticky, and hard to clean-up overall and all the ladies I talked about said clean-up was number one even above pleasure. Okay, I don’t get that, but putting myself in their shoes I understand their point about clean-up. It is a concern of mine, but not the first, lol, most guys can back me up on this one. So the RESULTS, silicone lube is for a select few women, kind of like an aquired taste. Some love it as I am told, but most prefer water-based lube. For men, it is about 50/50% as to if they like silicone or water-based lube. Those polls will come out soon.
